Update Samsung Galaxy Grand I9082 to stock Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 XXAMD6


  1. Download the stock Jelly Bean 4.1.2 XXAMD6 Firmware file from here.
  2. Download and install Odin.
  3. Open the Odin app on your PC.
  4. Now, turn off your Samsung Galaxy Grand I9082 device.
  5. Boot it into Download Mode. To do this thing you need to press and keep holding the following combination of buttons: Volume Down + Home + Power.
  6. While your device is into Download Mode, connect it to the PC via USB cable.
  7. Now, look in ODIN and make sure the ODIN display the “added” message and the ID: COM area is collared in yellow or blue colors.
  8. In case the ODIN doesn’t add your device, you have to: disconnect the device, reconnect the device to the computer, close Odin and install the suitable drivers once again; after these steps redo the procedure from the beginning.
  9. In case everything is working well as we explained above at the step 7,  you have to:
    • Select “PDA” button from the ODIN.
    • Browse and load the downloaded firmware file.
    • Make sure you don’t make any changes in the ODIN interface.
    • Make sure that the Re-partition box option is unchecked.
  10. Now, when you’re ready click on “start” button from ODIN to start the installation of the new firmware.
  11.  When the update firmware process is done, Odin tool will say “pass” message on its interface
  12. Now reboot your Galaxy Grand device.
  13. Disconnect your device from the PC
Troubleshooting:
  • If the ODIN app get stuck you need to do:
  1. Close the ODIN app
  2. Disconnect the device from the PC
  3. Force restarts your Galaxy Grand.
  4. Reinstall the USB drivers once again.
  5. Now, open ODIN app
  6. Repeat the procedure from the beginning.
  • If in the end of the flashing process, your smartphone is entering in a boot loop, or might get stuck you need to do:
  1. Reboot your Samsung Galaxy device into Recovery Mode. To do that, press and keep holding the Volume up + Home + Power buttons at the same time.
  2. From the Recovery Mode menu select   “wipe data factory reset” and after that select “wipe cache partition”. This action will erase all the data stored into internal memory, and that’s why a backup is necessary.
  3. Now, return in the main Recovery Menu with the “+++go back+++” option.
  4. From the main Recovery Menu select “reboot system now”.
That’s it. Your Samsung Galaxy Galaxy Grand has now been updated to Android 4.1.2 build XXAMD6 Firmware.
For verifying the version of the firmware installed on your device go to Settings > About phone.
That was all instructions that you need to follow in order to successfully update your Galaxy Grand device with the latest Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean XXAMD6 firmware.
